OMA DM is synonymous with mobile device management. The OMA DM specification was designed for management of mobile devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, and tablet computers. Device management is intended to support the following uses: provisioning, device configuration, software upgrades and fault management. While mobile and fixed wireless devices share similiarites, there are uniqiue management attributes for fixed devices. OMA-DM support along with real-time monitoring and control are essential for Fixed Wireless and M2M/IoT applications. In an effort to accelerate 4G broadband deployments, BEC was the first vendor to incorporate specific LTE parameters and functionality in its device management platform. BECloud provides access to critical information for LTE Network diagnostics and troubleshooting, such as: signal quality measurements (RSSI, RSRP, RSRQ and SINR), location & Cell ID, Intelligent APN Management, network status and complete device control.
