DESCRIPTION:The National EBS Association (NEBSA) is the professional association for those institutions who hold EBS (formerly ITFS) licenses. Originally named the National ITFS Association\, NEBSA was established in 1978. \nNEBSA is dedicated to providing the information and support licensees need to preserve and enhance the educational value of their spectrum. \nMembership in NEBSA is composed of representatives from K-12\, post-secondary\, and other education-related nonprofit entities\, many of whom have operated EBS systems for a number of years. \nNEBSA provides an expanded forum for the exchange of information and advice on new technologies\, new educational applications\, and commercial relationships for its members. Members share information with one another and the association organizes an annual conference\, typically in February\, to discuss issues of importance to members. \nNEBSA is a leading advocate for use of the spectrum set aside for education by the FCC and represents the interests of EBS licensees at the FCC. \nBoard members and officers are members who volunteer their time and talents to fulfill their elected office responsibilities and help govern the Association.

DESCRIPTION:ITA Showcase Northwest is an annual trade show put on by vendors to the telecommunications industry in Washington and Oregon.  It is sponsored by the associate members of the Washington Independent Telephone Association (WITA) and the Oregon Telecommunications Association (OTA)\, for the benefit of the members of those associations as well as others in the telecommunications industry.\nITA Showcase is a non-profit corporation.  At the end of any show\, our Board of Directors determines how much money must be kept in reserve\, but then donates any excess funds to employees of rural telcos and associate members via the WITA and OTA scholarship programs.\nITA Showcase 2019 will be held at the Holiday Inn/Portland Airport Hotel\, in Portland\, Oregon\, on March 6 and 7.  (Our exhibitor set-up and our new TopGolf event will be on March 5.)  It has 90 to 100 exhibits from vendors to the industry\, as well as educational\, hands-on seminars running continuously throughout the two-day show.
