SSLC-106M
NEMA Smart Street Light Controller Node
The BEC SSLC-106M is an LTE-enabled NEMA smart street light controller node that brings remote control, monitoring, and operational visibility to outdoor lighting infrastructure. By transforming compatible LED luminaires into connected assets, the SSLC-106M helps cities, utilities, campuses, and commercial operators improve outage response, reduce manual inspections, optimize lighting performance, and simplify ongoing maintenance.
Designed for rapid plug-and-play deployment, the SSLC-106M installs directly into compatible ANSI C136.41 NEMA 5-pin or 7-pin receptacles. The twist-lock design provides a practical way to modernize existing outdoor lighting without replacing compatible fixtures or performing complex field modifications.
The SSLC-106M combines fixture-level ON/OFF control, 0–10V dimming, scheduled operation, fault detection, and electrical monitoring in a compact IP65-rated enclosure. Integrated cellular connectivity enables centralized control and visibility across distributed lighting networks, including streets, highways, parking areas, campuses, parks, utility sites, and industrial facilities.
Ideal Applications

- Public Safety and Infrastructure Sites
- Utility and Energy Infrastructure
- Parks, Trails, and Recreational Areas
- Commercial and Industrial Facilities
- Simple NEMA Twist-Lock Deployment
The SSLC-106M installs directly into compatible NEMA 5-pin or 7-pin luminaire receptacles using a simple insert-and-rotate connection. No screws are required for controller installation, helping streamline deployment, maintenance, and replacement. - Fixture-Level Control and Dimming
A built-in single-channel 250V/16A relay provides remote ON/OFF control, while the 0–10V dimming interface allows compatible LED drivers to be adjusted based on schedules, site requirements, or operating conditions. - Scheduled and Automated Lighting Control
Timer-based scheduling, photocell control using ambient lux values, and optional GPS-based astronomical clock control help automate lighting operation and reduce unnecessary energy usage. - Automatic Fault Monitoring and Alerts
Integrated monitoring supports automatic fault reporting and manual status queries for lamp failures, power failures, under-voltage, over-voltage, and over-current conditions. Optional power outage and high-temperature notifications are also available. - Power and Energy Visibility
The SSLC-106M measures voltage, current, active power, power factor, and energy consumption, providing real-time visibility into fixture operation and electrical performance. - Cellular Connectivity for Distributed Lighting Networks
LTE FDD and LTE TDD connectivity enables remote monitoring and control across geographically distributed lighting assets. Supported cellular configurations also include Anterix Band 8 900 MHz, WCDMA, and GSM. - Multi-Constellation GNSS Support
Integrated support for GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS enables location-aware operation and optional astronomical clock functionality. - Rugged Outdoor Design
The compact IP65-rated and IK10-protected enclosure is designed for outdoor lighting environments, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and integrated 4kV surge protection. - Remote Management and Firmware Updates
BECentral® support and over-the-air firmware upgrades help operators centrally manage distributed lighting controllers and maintain device software without requiring on-site access.
